Electronic Health Recordkeeping
MNC is both pleased and excited to announce that the practice will begin a much-anticipated implementation of Electronic Health Recordkeeping! The actual “start” will be occurring during October 2009. What will this mean to you, our valued patients and referral providers? Some of you may already be familiar with “EMR’s” or E “H” R’s through exposure at another provider’s office, hospital or other clinic setting. Some of you may not have any experience with it at all. Whatever your experience level, you are no doubt aware of the sweeping changes affecting the healthcare industry and the move toward standardization and efficiency in this area. MNC believes we have acquired cutting edge technology and will be able to become more efficient in the delivery of our nephrology services with this practice-wide enhancement.
As with any change a practice undertakes of this scale, we wish to be honest with you that during the implementation phase, things may not run as smoothly as we would like for them to and may even appear to be somewhat chaotic. We would ask for your patience and understanding during this time but more importantly to let us know immediately if you are uncomfortable with any part of the process – we will work to make it right!
Drs. Thomas, Sivarajan, Golder and Khan have been fully functioning in our new EHR system since October 2009. We are excited to be adding Drs. Langley, Birenboim, Glaser and Arakelov to the new system in March 2010. Your patience with us as we undergo this transition is appreciated and still needed for our next group of physicians and as we all continue to learn new features and functions of this electronic format.
Everyone at MNC thanks you for your participation in this progressive change for all of us!
